Back to the Grind

How is it possible that the past few months zipped by?  Oh yeah, parent of two here.  Mmmm-hmmm.

There is much to report in our household, AS USUAL.  This wee family of ours is active in every single way possible.

After enjoying the glorious holidays filled with everything that one can imagine, we dove right into a jam packed start to 2014.  The fact that I'm writing about that 3 months later should account for something.  In all seriousness and compassion, our holidays filled our hearts with much joy in every corner of the heart.  We were able to relish in lots of QT with family and friends while hosting a few events to delight the senses.

Shortly after, work and school were back in full force.  Riley is excelling in 2nd grade and gearing for an exceptional season of Little League with Daddy as Coach and Mommy as Team Mom.  Gianna is doing terrific in her last year of preschool while enjoying weekly ballet class.  It has been an amazing and beautiful thing to watch both of them grow into the people they want to become.  All the while Chris and I are enjoying watching them grow into the people WE were *praying* they become.  It's all about coming full circle for the Morello's.

Chris has been enormously busy keeping our family afloat with all the projects that PortItalia Construction has been bringing forth.  Kitchens, baths, whole house remodels - oh my!  We have been more thankful than any family could be.  All his dedication and drive to provide for us has been exceptional on so many levels.  There is no one like him, and for that, he is forever OURS.

I have been the master juggler and just trying to keep up with the mass population in our casa.  What surprises me is that I'm just barely able to keep up and still remain loved by everyone!  Sometimes I feel like a major success and sometimes I feel like a major mess.  With the demands of motherhood, wifeyhood, family commitments, design projects, artwork, clients, little league, dance class, event planning, personal life, social time with friends… my plate is often overflowing.  But then I hear music playing and all I want to do is drop everything and DANCE!  Hmmmm, maybe I'm living a balanced and beautiful life over here after all.

Here are the babes in February.  I'll catch up to March soon.  :)

Baby NANA's 4th Birthday Party!

Our baby girl is now FOUR years old. It's an amazing and beautiful thing to watch your child grow. We never would have imagined that she would be so loving and passionate in so many ways, and we just adore that about her.

We started off her celebrations with our family tradition = dessert for breakfast on the morning of her birthday. Mama baked brownies and everyone had a chunk before starting the day. Gianna's birthday was on a Wednesday this year and she had preschool to attend.

We delivered pizza to her class so that she could celebrate with all her preschool friends. She simply loved it and devoured THREE slices that day (her personal record).

Saturday we celebrated in our backyard with her tiny friends and their parents. The weather was the best we could have ever hoped for in November. We arranged for a jumpy house as a lovely surprise for her. The moments were captured on video and Gianna was thrilled to no end. "JUMPYLAND!!"

Thank you one and all for celebrating our baby girl. She may not technically be a baby, but she's our baby for life. Love you forever, Dimples! xoxoxo

Gianna's 4th Birthday Session

I had the divine pleasure of setting forth on an adventure with my sweet daughter just before her birthday celebration weekend.  Just like with Riley's birthday session, I had no idea I would be given the most perfect elements from above (and below) to work with.  This angel was a GEM for the CAM (me!) … Love her with all my heart and soul.  She's the cherry on the top of our family's sundae :)

Maddux Matthew

Maddux is now 9 months old and we couldn't be happier being in his wee little life!  Such a happy baby.  We had the pleasure of having him and Abriana a few days during M&M's honeymoon.  So much fun and cannot wait to do it again!
